  • (2) For the purposes of this Act, the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, a Deputy Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police or an AFP employee (all within the meaning of the Australian Federal Police Act 1979 ) is:
  1. (a) a worker; and
  2. (b) at work throughout the time when the person is on duty or lawfully performing the functions of the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, a Deputy Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police or an AFP employee, but not otherwise; and
  3. (c) carrying out work for a business or undertaking conducted by the Commonwealth when the person is on duty or lawfully performing the functions of the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, a Deputy Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police or an AFP employee, but not otherwise; and
  4. (d) an employee of the Commonwealth.
  5. (2A) For the purposes of this Act, a member of the Defence Force is:
  6. (a) a worker; and
  7. (b) at work throughout the time when the person is lawfully performing the functions of a member of the Defence Force, but not otherwise; and
