(1) Before the Governor-General appoints a person as the President, the Minister must be satisfied that the person: (a) is or has been a Judge of a court created by the Parliament; or (b) is qualified for appointment because the person has knowledge of, or experience in, one or more of the following fields: (i) workplace relations; (ii) law; (iii) business, industry or commerce.
